He also underlined the importance of joint efforts towards the global energy transition, Energiewende, in German.

Luis Guillermo Pineda, board member of the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE), emphasized on the interest from Mexican authorities to learn about and foster, in coordination with the EP, the use of renewable energy sources in accordance to the new energy framework of the 2019-2024 National Development Plan (PND).

Karla Cedano, Vice-chairperson from the Solar Energy National Association (ANES) and Researcher from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, reflected on the significance of energy as a wellness detonator. She also suggested working on social innovation processes to foster social inclusion and to tackle energy poverty.

Among the distiguished guests were representatives from accredited embassies in Mexico, local and federal Mexican authorities and civil society and private sector actors.
