Strengthening dialogues at the subnational level

Mexico. – During the month of March, the German – Mexican Energy Partnership (EP) together with the Mexican-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK), organized several virtual workshops to exchange best practices and experiences regarding the energy transition at the subnational level in Mexico.

The workshops were actively attended by various ministries, energy agencies, energy clusters, commissions, and other government instances of the energy sector representing the following 10 states: Aguascalientes, Mexico City, Durango, Jalisco, Nuevo León, Puebla, Tabasco, Tamaulipas, Veracruz, and Yucatán. The participants had access to information about financing opportunities, communication and infrastructure and innovation projects in the energy sector to strengthen and contribute to the energy transition in Mexico.

Likewise, the topics of cooperation and opportunities for collaboration were discussed. Concrete ways to finance projects were proposed and possibilities for implementing green hydrogen projects as part of the infrastructure to achieve the energy transition were discussed.

With these workshops, the EP contributes to strengthening dialogue and cooperation between public agents at the subnational level that allows the creation of strategies to promote a just and efficient energy transition.
