Energy Partnership at BETD2019

More than 2.500 people from over 90 countries, including 45 ministers and state secretaries, participated at the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue 2019 (BETD2019) from April, 9th to 10th.

The secretariat of the German-Mexican Energy Partnership, accompanied by the Co-founder of Mexican Start-up GlobalGrid, joined the BETD2019 and a variety of side-events.

At the occasion of the 5th edition of the BETD, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) Peter Altmaier said: “A successful energy transition needs to be conceived globally and holistically. A holistic approach requires the energy shift to be successful in all sectors and the socio-economic elements to be taken into account throughout. Continuing international cooperation is indispensable here.”

From people empowerment to geopolitics of energy transitions, from blockchain and cybersecurity to P2X, participants exchanged and deepened their knowledge with international experts and key stakeholders.
